Anyone can send a vehicle. We send a chauffeur.
The vehicle is the straightforward part. The person driving it is the service, and it is where Olilux puts its attention.
Selection
Chosen on record, not availability.
Candidates arrive with a verifiable commercial driving history and professional references we call. We interview in person, road-test on the routes they will actually drive, and decline more applicants than we appoint. Most chauffeurs on our roster have worked in this region for more than ten years.
Background checks
Checked before the first journey, and again every year.
Every chauffeur clears a criminal background check, a driving record review, an identity and work authorisation check and a drug screening. Records are re-run annually and after any reported incident. A moving violation is reviewed, never overlooked.
Licensing and insurance
Licensed for hire, commercially insured.
Chauffeurs hold the for-hire licences required in each jurisdiction they operate in, including TLC licensing for New York City work. Vehicles carry commercial liability coverage well above the statutory minimum, and certificates of insurance are provided on request for corporate accounts.
Training
Trained on the vehicle, the region and the passenger.
Onboarding covers defensive and smooth driving technique, terminal and private terminal procedure, route planning around bridge and tunnel patterns, discreet luggage handling, child seat installation and first-aid basics. Chauffeurs are refreshed annually and accompany a senior chauffeur before working alone.
Conduct
Discretion is part of the role.
A quiet cabin, the door held, the phone silenced. Chauffeurs do not initiate conversation, do not record, and do not discuss passengers or destinations with anyone.
Continuity
Request the same chauffeur, journey after journey.
Once a chauffeur learns your route, your timing and how you prefer the cabin, we keep assigning them. Regular passengers and corporate accounts can name a preferred chauffeur on every request.
